I am Nazli Soltani,
An Iranian artist living in the United States. I have been described as a Renaissance Woman as I prefer to let the landscape around me dictate the medium I use to tell its story. My life is like a tapestry of creative expression and diverse experiences. As a painter, sculptor, potter, and interior architect, my journey is akin to the intricate patterns of a Persian carpet. Each stroke of my paintbrush, every sculpture, and every piece of pottery bears the imprints of my curious soul. Having immigrated to various countries, I've embraced the colors, textures, and stories of each place, creating a unique masterpiece of identity. As an interior architect, I transform spaces into living narratives, incorporating the richness of the cultures I've encountered. My art reflects the beauty that emerges when life's experiences are intricately interwoven, much like the threads of a Persian carpet.

As soon as I sit behind the wheel, all my feelings from the past and present flow from my brain to my hands and shape the clay mass in front of me. I am one with the clay. This holistic moment allows me to connect with the clay and create each piece as a reflection of my life as a woman who has witnessed so much. The spirals and movement in this series represent the twists and turns of life, while the intricate patterns and contrasting colors symbolize the diversity of cultures and natural environments that I’ve lived in. From the brutal cold of Canada and North Dakota to the sunny golden warmth of California to the coast of the sapphire Mediterranean Sea, the natural elements have left a mark on my heart. My pieces are the voice of the snow, the fire of the sun, and the calm depths of the ocean. Through my artwork, I hope to inspire others to see the beauty of life in a new light despite the twists and turns. To appreciate the beauty that surrounds us all. In this series, I explore the idea that memories and emotions often emerge from the depths of our psyche and find expression in tangible language. They are the raw materials that I use to create my art, which is a reflection of my innermost thoughts and feelings. The process of creating each piece is a journey of self-discovery and self-expression. As
I mold the clay, I am reminded of the many experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. Each piece is a testament to the power of art to heal and transform
